As part of the survey for improvement in water and wastewater works in Batam City, Indonesia, implemented by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, Batam City officials responsible for wastewater management visited the wastewater treatment plants in northern part of Yokohama City. They were greatly interested in advanced wastewater treatment processes including ozone oxidation and learned about the water recycling systems.

In cooperation with ญี่ปุ่น International Cooperation Agency ( JICA ) and Yokohama Water Co., Ltd. the Yokohama Waterworks Bureau accepted ten waterworks engineers แบบ eight ชาวแอฟริกา countries for training.

To support YWBA member companies in expanding their business in Vietnam, the Yokohama Waterworks Bureau held a seminar in cooperation with HueWACO introducing their products and technologies
